Why I no longer quit songs halfway through (and what changed)

I pressed my palm against my forehead and groaned…

Ahhh! Here comes another migraine.”

My wife rubbed my shoulder, “This is happening a lot lately.”

I nodded.

“Should you start a ‘headache diary’ to show the doctor?”

My eyes met hers.

“Baaabe… what I need… is to exercise.”

I’ve learned that when I don’t have a consistent exercise routine…

My body falls apart (welcome to your 40s).

I’m tired all the time. I eat crap. I get migraines.

But when I live in consistency…

I’m strong. Capable. I don’t crash out at 3pm.

But for some reason it’s easier binging 5 episodes of Arrested Development than it is to swing a jump rope for 20-30mins.

And that’s why I first put together the Mona Lisa Lyric Method.

I never wanted to have an inconsistent commitment to songwriting.

Because when you're not writing…

That’s when life feels incomplete.

You feel guilty, unproductive and like you’re wasting your time on earth.

I’ve seen too many writers lose creative momentum because of… ‘life’.

But where the Mona Lisa Lyric Method is fire at getting you writing lyrics that are so singable, adding melody becomes one of the quickest parts of the process…

It helps to have the Mona Lisa App – it’s the entire Method, right there on your phone, laptop etc.

Think of it like this: the Method is your momentum, the App is your skipping rope.

It's always there, it doesn't require a full hour and it meets you wherever you are in the day.

You sit down for your morning coffee… that’s your chorus.

You escape that finance meeting for a quick toilet break… that’s verse 1 done.
So your song is always making progress – you’re never quitting halfway through.

The Mona Lisa Lyric Method comes with a 3-month App trial.

Grab it here.

Until next time…

Keep on rollin’ rollin’ rollin’.
